AT&T

THIS IS KIND OF A FUNNY STORY!  YESTERDAY, AT&T CUT MY PHONE OFF FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR. SINCE JIMMY HAS BEEN GONE, I'VE SPOKEN TO LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF AT&T REPRESENTATIVES ON THE PHONE, AND LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF DEPARTMENTS.  EVERYONE SWITCHES ME TO THE NEXT DEPT. ..AND THE NEXT DEPT.....AND THE NEXT.......I USUALLY SPEND ABOUT AN HOUR ON THE PHONE.....I ALWAYS PAY MY BILLS ON THE PHONE, BECAUSE I WANT TO MAKE SURE THE SERVICE IS NEVER SUSPENDED....WELL YESTERDAY, I ASKED THE FIRST PERSON ,"WHY DID YOU TURN MY SERVICE OFF?".......SHE HAD THE"NERVE TO TELL ME, "BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE MONEY TO PAY YOUR BILLS.".....WELL, ONCE AGAIN, THIS WOMAN SAID THE WRONG THING TO THE WRONG PERSON!.........I SAID, "WHAT!'........"ARE YOU LOOKING AT MY RECORD IN THAT COMPUTER SCREEN IN FRONT OF YOU!.....FIRST OF ALL, I HAVE PAID $1000.00, TOTAL, FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL ALONE..........I WILL MAKE ANOTHER PAYMENT FIRST WEEK OF MAY........AND I SPOKE WITH A PERSON LAST WEEK, WHO SAID "I WAS  AHEAD OF THE GAME AND DID NOT NEED TO PAY ANYTHING UNTIL MAY."  FURTHERMORE, LOOK AT THE PAST YEAR......I HAVE PAID $800 OR MORE EACH MONTH.....AND THIS GIRL IS TELLING ME....YES ME, THAT I DON'T PAY MY BILLS......IF I WERE HER BOSS, I'D FIRE HER IMMEDIATELY FOR SAYING THAT TO A CLIENT, AND BELITTLING ME.  SO I SAID, LET ME PLEASE SPEAK TO YOUR MANAGER.  WELL, IT WASN'T ANY BETTER........THIS WAS A SNIPPY GIRL, IN PROBABLY HER 20'S......SHE WAS IN A RUSH, AND REALLY COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT HER JOB, OR ME. I KNOW THE TYPE.  SHE WAS QUICK TO TELL ME THAT SHE WAS IN "MID MANAGEMENT."  SHE SAID I'D HAVE TO PAY $550.00 RIGHT NOW TO GET THE PHONE TURNED ON. I WAS PREPARED TO DO IT. BUT THEN I SAID "WHY IS IT EVERYTIME I TALK TO AT&T, I GET A DIFFERENT STORY.  I AM HANDICAPPED, BLIND, HAVE NO ONE HERE, AND MY HUSBAND IS MY ONLY FORM OF COMMUNICATION.  YOUR REPS. HAVE TOLD ME I'M A SPECIAL CASE. THEY KEEP THE PHONE ON FOR 1 MORE WEEK.....MOST PEOPLE HAVE BEEN NICE TO ME.  I ALMOST TOLD THIS GIRL, I WAS GOING TO COMMIT SUICIDE, AND BEFORE DOING IT, NOTIFY THE NEWSMEDIA THAT AT&T DROVE ME TO DO THIS!  (JUST A JOKE!)......I MAY HAVE SAID IT, BUT I DIDN'T WANT THE POLICE AND NEWSMEDIA AT MY FRONT DOOR, TO COME AND HELP THE SUICIDAL PRISONERS WIFE...ALL I WANTED WAS MY PHONE TURNED ON SO I CAN TALK TO JIMMY.........OK, SO NOW, THE MID-MANAGER SAID, "WELL, LET ME GET SOMEONE FROM "HIGHER MANAGEMENT" TOTALK TO YOU. " SOON, SHE CAME BACK AND SAID,"I COULDN'T FIND ANYONE (A LIE), BUT I'VE DECIDED TO RESUME YOUR SERVICE.  DO YOU THINK YOU COULD PAY  $150 NOW,.........AND $800 THE FIRST WEEK OF MAY..........SO OF COURSE I PAID IT.......THE MID MANAGER WANTED TO PUT A FEATHER IN HER CAP, BUT IN ACTUALITY, SHE SPOKE WITH HIGHER MANAGEMENT, WHO LOOKED INTO MY RECORD AND SIMPLY TOOK CARE OF IT.......THE PHONE WAS BACK ON, BEFORE JIMMY EVEN KNEW IT WAS OFF!......AND SO, EVERYONE WAS HAPPY......AND LIFE WENT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!

if there is one thing i hate most is...dealing with phone companies....i am sure they pick theier employeess by asking them if they know how to answer a phoen...yeah right

I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND DEALING WITH THE PHONE COMPANY AND THE OTHER COMPANIES YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH, MAKING ENDS MEET.  I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY THEY DO! IT SEEMS THEY ARE TRAINED.  ON ONE OF MY BAD DAYS, I WOULD LIKE TO WORK FOR A PHONE COMPANY AND HAVE THAT EMPLOYEE ON THE OTHER END. WONDER HOW SHE WOULD FEEL.  I JUST DON'T THINK I COULD GO THAT LOW.......GOD BLESS THEM CO'S THE DEVILS GOT THEM.

ooooooo...I know exactly what you mean...I used to have a cell phone with AT&T.  Notice the key words "used to".  They treated me exactly the same when I called with a problem.  I use Sprint now, pay much less for more minutes, and not only have they never been rude, but when I went in to see how to get something fixed on my phone, they just handed me a brand new one.  AT&T should take lessons from them.
