SNOW HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!

WELL, IT FINALLY STARTED SNOWING!  I HOPE YOU'RE ALL HAPPY!  It's 1:30 a.m. THE WEATHERMAN AND RADIO STATIONS HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THIS STORM, AND A SECOND ONE TO FOLLOW, FOR DAYS ON END.  WELL, HORRAH, HORRAH!  IT'S HERE!  YOU CAN ALL HAVE YOUR JOLLIES PLAYING AND DRIVING IN THE SNOW, WHILE I SIT HERE ALL SNUGGLED UP NICE AND WARM WATCHING TV AND DRINKING HOT COCOA IN MY NICE WARM HOUSE! PRINCE, MISTY AND JIMBO SLEEP. I JUST MICRO-WAVED SOME POPCORN.  I WENT FOOD SHOPPING TODAY AND BOUGHT 15 BAGS OF FOOD.....JUST IN CASE I GET MAROONED IN THE HOUSE TILL THE SPRING!  PRINCE WAS SO HAPPY AS I LUGGED THE BAGS INTO THE HOUSE......"FOOD AND LOTS OF IT!"  SAID PRINCE, WITH A BIG SMILE ON HIS DOGGIE FACE.....CASES OF CAT FOOD AND A 10 LB. BAG OF WHISKAS.  I CAN ALWAYS SURVIVE ON RICE, HOME-MADE SOUPS......BUT THE KIDS , THAT'S A DIFFERENT STORY.  THEY ARE ALL FUSSY AND HAVE TO HAVE JUST WHAT THEY WANT. SO MY BABIES COME FIRST!  THE WEATHER IS A BIG ISSUE WITH MY HUSBAND AND I.  POINT BLANK, I HATE IT HERE.  NOW, DON'T GET ME WRONG!  I LOVE NEW JERSEY. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL STATE WITH A LOT TO OFFER.  I WAS BORN HERE AND WENT TO SCHOOL HERE. I JUST DON'T LIKE SNOW..AND HUMIDITY IN THE SUMMER.  SNOW IS BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT.  IT JUST DOESN'T AGREE WITH MY BODY...MY BONES AND MUSCLES AND NERVE-ENDINGS.  ON THE EAST COAST WE HAVE GREAT UNIVERSITIES, EDUCATION, THEATRE, CULTURE, RESTAURANTS....GREENERY, MOUNTAINS...THE LIST GOES ON.  THE WEST IS ALSO WONDERFUL. YOU CAN'T BEAT THE CLIMATE, SCENERY, BLUE SKIES...THE DESERT , THE OCEAN, THE MOUNTAINS.  EACH COAST IS BEAUTIFUL IN ITSELF. YOU JUST CAN'T DENY THAT FACT......BUT HERE I GO AGAIN, I JUST CAN'T HANDLE THE BITTER COLD AND SNOW AND ICE, AS I GET OLDER...................SOOOOOOOOO, I GUESS LAS VEGAS WINS!!!!...............AND, "THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS!" $$$$$$$$$

The only thing I disliked about "Good Old Jersey" was the winter weather. I sure wish I could have found a place with the same mountains, trees, grass, beaches, and animals as NJ without the cold, sleet, and snow. Oh well, guess I'll just have to stay here in the Las Vegas desert heat. Regards, Bill.

I agree, culturally the east coast has it all, but...weather-wise, it STINKS! The older I get, the harder it is for me to handle these winters. I see a move in our future, a move west.
