A SAD DAY AT THE PRISON

YESTERDAY WAS A SAD DAY AT THE PRISON. ONE OF THE INMATES WIVES DIED....UNEXPECTEDLY....AT THE AGE OF 31. SHE LEAVES BEHIND A YOUNG CHILD. FOR JIMMY'S ENTIRE INCARCERATION, THE ONE QUESTION I ALWAYS ASKED HIM WAS 'WHAT HAPPENS IF AN INMATE'S WIFE GETS VERY SICK, OR GOD FORBIDE DIES?  IS HE LET OUT TO SEE HER OR GO TO HER FUNERAL? " JIMMY COULD NEVER GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER....WELL YESTERDAY I FOUND OUT...THE INMATE CANNOT GO TO HIS WIFE'S FUNERAL....SIMPLE AND TO THE POINT.  HE WAS GIVEN AN OPTION, EITHER STAY ON THE FARM, OR GO TO THE MAIN PRISON, IN   "LOCK-UP." (meaning be put in a locked jail cell). BARELY ANY SUPPORT WAS GIVEN TO HIM. ONLY A SOCIAL WORKER SAW HIM ONCE. MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN WITH HIM, TALKING AND LISTENING TO HIM..AND TRYING TO SUPPORT HIM....WHAT A TERRIBLE SHAME. THIS YOUNG MAN WILL LIVE WITH THIS FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.  HE WILL HAVE NO CLOSURE TO HIS WIFE'S DEATH.  HE WILL BE RELEASED FROM PRISON IN A FEW MONTHS, ONLY TO GO BACK TO AN EMPTY WORLD. THIS WOMAN WAS NOT FROM THE STREET. SHE WAS A CHRISTIAN WOMAN, WHO WENT TO THE HOSPITAL FOR A SIMPLE OPERATION..A D&C. SHE BECAME SEPTIC. THE ANTIBX DID NOT WORK, AND SHE DIED. PLEASE REMEMBER HER AND HER HUSBAND IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS TODAY....THANK YOU SO MUCH.

......'MY PRAYER".......

DEAR LORD,

I PRAY TODAY FOR THE SOUL OF THIS YOUNG WOMAN....THAT SHE HAS FOUND HER PLACE WITH YOU...THAT SHE IS SURROUNDED BY LOVE AND PEACE, IN THE GLORY OF YOUR PRESENCE. SHE WAS A GOOD WIFE AND MOTHER, DURING HER SHORT LIFE HERE ON EARTH.  AND ESPECIALLY SEND STRENGTH AND PROTECTION TO HER HUSBAND WHO IS INCARCERATED. SURROUND HIM WITH THE LIGHT AND THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.  TAKE THIS BURDEN FROM HIS HEART.  LET HIM KNOW THAT HIS WIFE IS AT PEACE. MAKE HIS FAITH IN YOU EVEN STRONGER DURING THESE TRYING TIMES.  WE ASK FOR BLESSINGS TO ALSO BE SHED UPON HIS BABY AND FAMILY. ALL THIS , LORD, WE ASK IN YOUR NAME.............AMEN

This is so sad. I feel for the man in prison, but also for his wife, who probably wanted to see him and touch him one more time. He will need lots of help and support; I hope he will be able to get that. Beautiful prayer. I too will pray for him. The Lord will not forsake him. Try to stay warm.
